Stephen Gray – Digital Scholarship co-lead
Stephen is Head of Research Support and a Research Fellow. Stephen’s research is focused on the use of spatial, 3D technologies and cultural heritage collections. This includes building Virtual Reality environments, 3D scanning of artefacts and spaces and interactive games design. Stephen has a special interest in the relationships between neurodivergent audiences & digital places.
Catharine Dack – Digital Scholarship co-lead
Catherine Dack is a Research Support Librarian, working in the areas of open research, digital humanities and special collections. Her interests include the history of the book, children’s literature, and the digital shift in libraries and archives.
Amy Stone – XR Consultant
Amy Stone is a Real-Time 3D Designer & XR Developer with over 20 years of experience in design and immersive technologies. She has an MA in Virtual and Extended Realities from UWE, Bristol. Amy’s recent role as a Research Associate at the University of Bristol involved recreating historical film studios using 3D modelling and VR. She is currently consulting with the UoB library team to create the next iteration of the Uncertain Space virtual museum.
Dr Kate Holmes – Research Support Librarian
“I’m fascinated by what it means to experience the world through our bodies. Whether that is researching circus or curating exhibitions that play with relationships between physical and virtual worlds. I facilitated the first exhibition of Uncertain Space virtual museum, working with a group of young Bristolians, archivists and technologists.”
